Downtown Denver Will Turn Into An Arcade Next Summer

DENVER (CBS4) - Coming to Denver next summer is an arcade unlike anything ever seen. It's called "Oh Heck Yeah" and the people behind it all, Brian Corrigan and Pauline Herrera Serianni, stopped by CBS4 studios to talk about it.

Oh Heck Yeah will be an immersive street arcade on Champa Street between the 16th Street Mall and 14th Street and is going to happen next summer every Thursday and Saturday in June and July.

"These are custom built games by local talent and all of these games you'll be able to play on the LED screens inside the Denver Theater District," Herrera Serianni said. "You'll also be able to play on buildings, so we're going to project onto buildings."

The games will be a new revamped take on vintage arcade games that can be played using smartphones or Microsoft Connect.

"We just received a grant from Our Place America. Our Place America is a collaboration of 13 leading foundations, four offices in the White House and five national banks," Corrigan said.
