Front Range Wakes Up To 1-2" Of Snow

DENVER (CBS4)- About an inch of of wet snow covered the ground along the Front Range early Friday morning.

The wintry conditions caused some problems for travelers along Interstate 70 in the mountains.

There was a rolled over semi near the Evergreen exit along with several problems on Floyd Hill.

The snow was wet and heavy enough to pull down some power lines which caused some power outages in the area of Floyd Hill and Boulder. About 7,000 homes were without power most of which was restored by early afternoon.

In typical Colorado fashion, once the snow stopped falling the sun came out.
