Denver Police Catch Suspects After Schools Placed On Lockdown

DENVER (CBS4)- Five schools in Denver were in lockdown on Friday morning while police searched for two suspects.

Police searched the area near 35th and Columbine and 29th and Marion in Denver.

The schools were placed on lockdown about 11 a.m. Friday and the suspects were caught about noon.

Once they were in police custody the school lockdown status was lifted.

The suspects were wanted for running away from a stolen car. At least one was believed to be carrying a weapon.

The first suspect was captured in the area of 35th and Columbine, the second a short time later at 29th and Marion.

No one was hurt. One of the suspects was also wanted on several arrest warrants.

The suspects have not been identified.
