Edgewater Police Investigate Shooting Death
EDGEWATER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Edgewater are trying to find the suspect in a shooting death on Thursday afternoon.
Officers rushed to the scene near 25th and Sheridan about 3:45 p.m. Thursday on reports of a shooting. When they arrived they found a 41-year-old man with at least one gunshot wound.
He was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center where he died a short time later.
Police are interviewing witnesses and trying to gather information that may lead them to a suspect and motive. Detectives do not believe it is a random shooting.
Neighbors told CBS4 that the victim's name was John and that he worked at the Sonic fast food restaurant about a block away from where he was shot.
One neighbor said John was seen walking around the neighborhood about 20 minutes before the shooting happened and he seemed fine.
