Supermax Corrections Officers Not Getting Paid, Prisoners Receive Checks

FLORENCE, Colo. (CBS4)– Corrections officers at the Supermax prison in Florence are not receiving paychecks because of the government shutdown but prisoners are.

Prisoners who have jobs at the maximum security prison receive $5 to $200 a month.

The fund that covers prisoners has not been affected.

But the pay has been suspended for the 600 corrections officers working in the Federal Correctional Complex.
