Mayor Sets Sights On North Denver Redevelopment
DENVER (CBS4)- North Denver is getting a lot of attention as it begins a major redevelopment project that is expected to bring new business to the area.
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock helped with a groundbreaking ceremony on a new office space called "The Industry" on Brighton Boulevard between Park Avenue and Interstate 70.
The former warehouse will be turned into about 400 offices.
Hancock believes there is a lot of this corridor of opportunity in what is known as the RINO District or River North has to offer.
"Major projects like this one are working to set industry ablaze with businesses, residents and customers," said Hancock.
The project is scheduled to be finished by early 2014 and is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the area.
The Source and Great Divide Brewery are also positioned along Brighton Boulevard.
