Boat Driver Pleads Guilty In Accident That Left Friend Seriously Injured

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- The driver of a boat has agreed to plead guilty to boating under the influence in connection with an accident that left his friend seriously injured.

Chris Feller agreed to plead guilty in the incident that happened at Horsetooth Reservoir back in June.

In exchange for the plea a felony vehicular assault charge will be dropped.

Feller, 22, said he didn't realize his friend, Anthony Olmstead, had jumped off the boat when he put it in reverse.

Olmstead was seriously injured by the boat's propeller.

Investigators said when the accident happened there were nine people on the boat between the ages of 19 and 22.
