Alcohol Likely Played Role In Wrong-Way Crash In Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - An accident investigation is underway after a driver went the wrong way on Interstate 25 causing a crash that closed the highway for hours.
Investigators say just after 1 a.m. Sunday a pickup truck was going south in the northbound lanes of the interstate near Rockrimmon Road in Colorado Springs. The Dodge Ram pickup then crashed into a Toyota SUV.
The driver and passengers had to be cut out of the SUV. It's not clear how many were injured or how seriously.
