CDOT Closes Ramp From I-25 To I-70 For Emergency Maintenance
DENVER (CBS4) - Road crews on Friday afternoon closed the ramp from southbound Interstate 25 to westbound Interstate 70.
The Colorado Department of Transportation is doing some emergency repairs to the bridge.
The closure started at 12:30 p.m. and is expected to last until after midnight. It is also expected to cause some backups during the afternoon rush hour.
"We have bridge joint damage that we need to fix immediately to protect the traveling public," CDOT spokeswoman Amy Ford said in a statement. "Unfortunately, the extent of the damage requires that we completely close the on-ramp."
