DENVER (CBS4) – Sunday was a big day for the current Broncos as they dominated the Philadelphia Eagles, but it was also a big day for one former Bronco.
The Broncos unveiled Tom Nalen’s name in the Ring of Fame inside Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday during halftime of the Broncos 52-20 win over the Eagles.
Nalen appeared on the field with his family, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and other living Ring of Famers and gave a short speech to the crowd, saying:
“What’s up Denver? I just want to say a few things: I want to thank my teammates, my Ring of Fame members, fellow members and Mr. Bowlen. The commitment to winning that Mr. Bowlen has is unmatched in the NFL. I want to especially thank the fans for their passion that is unmatched within the NFL. Thank you.”
After the presentation, Nalen was all smiles.
“It’s awesome,” he said. “My name is on a stadium. Who can say that? There are 23 other guys here that can but it’s just kind of surreal.”
