Deadly Crash Shuts Down 104th In Commerce City During Morning Commute

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Commerce City investigated a deadly crash on Wednesday morning.

Officers rushed to E. 104th Avenue and Landmark Drive about 7:10 a.m. for a two-car injury accident.

A black Chevy pickup traveling eastbound on E. 104th Ave. struck a maroon Chevy Sonic that was turning westbound onto E. 104th Ave. from Landmark Drive.

The driver of the Chevy Sonic, a 41-year-old female, was pronounced dead on the scene. The passenger in the Sonic and the driver of the pickup were both transported to area hospitals for their injuries.

The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected.

Eastbound E. 104th Ave. has been shutdown from Chambers Road to Landmark Drive. Northbound Landmark Drive is shutdown from E. 103th Ave. to E. 104th Ave. Westbound 104th Ave. remained open during the investigation.
