Detectives Hope Public Can Help Find Hit & Run Driver

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4)- Deputies in Arapahoe County are searching for the driver wanted in a hit and run that left a young cyclist injured.

A juvenile male was riding his bike in the parking lot of the King Soopers located at 5050 E. Arapahoe Road on Tuesday when he was struck by a black pickup truck.

The driver of the truck then drove the juvenile to the Kaiser Permanente offices located at 5555 E. Arapahoe Road. The driver took him inside the lobby and then drove away.

The driver is described as a Hispanic male, mid-30s with short, dark, spiky hair. He is approximately 5-foot-5 with a thin build wearing brown shorts and a blue jacket.

The truck is described as a black 1970s model Chevrolet step-side pickup truck. It is similar to the picture below but that is not the suspect vehicle pictured.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes or recognizes the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). If the information you provide leads to the arrest and charging of a wanted individual, you can receive a cash reward up to $2,000.
