Zane Beadles Holds Pancake Breakfast To Benefit Young Cancer Patients

DENVER (CBS4) - The Zane Beadles Parade Foundation is a charity set up by Broncos offensive lineman Zane Beadles to help raise money for pediatric cancer patients.

Beadles held his pancake breakfast charity event on Sunday.

"This particular event is supporting Brent's Place, which is a safe, clean housing environment for kids going through pediatric cancer treatments," Beadles said. "The big thing that I want to be able to provide is just an escape from their everyday life."

Beadles became involved because when he was in college he met a boy named Reicher Fox who had a brain tumor.

"He knew he was sick and wanted to be buried in a Utah jersey and we took him in as one of our own," Beadles said.

A "pancake block" is an official statistic that describes when an offensive lineman knocks a defender on his back and falls on top of him. For every completed pancake block by a Broncos offensive lineman Beadles donates $250 to Zane Beadles Parade Foundation up to $10,000.
