West Metro Fire Investigates House Fire In Lakewood
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - West Metro Fire is trying to figure out what started a fire in the basement of a home Monday morning.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. neighbors reported seeing smoke coming from the home in the 5700 block of South Everett Way.
"We entered the front door and found there was about a foot and a half and maybe a yard long place where the floor had burned through," Brian Daley with West Metro Fire said.
Firefighters found another way in and spent the next hour putting out the flames.
The homeowners were out of town and nobody was hurt.
