Driver Cited For Role In Crash That Killed Woman On A Scooter
DENVER (CBS4) - A elderly woman has been cited for her role in a crash that killed a 50-year-old woman on a scooter on Saturday.
The crash occurred at 8th and Quebec Street. Investigators say it appears that a vehicle ran into an SUV that was stopped at the red light. That SUV then struck the scooter also stopped at the red light.
The woman riding on the scooter was killed. Police haven't said whether she was wearing a helmet.
The victim's name hasn't been released.
Police have also not released the name of the woman who was cited. She faces charges of careless driving resulting in death.
