Broncos Add A Sixth Linebacker In Adrian Robinson
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Thin at linebacker, the Denver Broncos claimed Adrian Robinson off waivers from Philadelphia on Sunday and released fullback Jacob Hester.
The Eagles acquired Robinson, a second-year pro, from Pittsburgh in exchange for running back Felix Jones on Aug. 23.
Robinson made the Steelers as an undrafted rookie free agent last season from Temple. H appeared in 12 games, all on special teams.
With All-Pro Von Miller serving a six-game suspension to start the season, the Broncos were thin at the position. Said coach John Fox: "We only had five linebackers on the roster and we needed a sixth. We don't know him very well yet, at least I don't. But on tape, according to our personnel people, he fits the mold we're looking for."
