Owner Of Dog Killed By Colorado Springs Police Says Story Doesn't Add Up
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - The man whose dog was shot and killed by Colorado Springs police early Friday morning says the story doesn't add up.
Police were in Joshua Burch's neighborhood looking for a man suspected in a car break-in. That's when police say a Burch's pit bull charged them. The dog was shot four times.
Police say one of the bullets ricocheted off the ground, hitting a window inside Burch's home.
"Once I found out they shot my house I was torn up, they killed my dog, but my biggest concern was that they could have killed somebody in my family," Burch said. "They said that this bullet was a ricochet, and it definitely was not a ricochet."
No one inside the home was hurt. The incident is still being investigated.
