GREELEY, Colo. (AP) – Seth Lobato threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns to lead Northern Colorado to a 31-10 win over Langston Saturday.
Dimitri Stimphil was his prime target, catching five passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
Langston was first to get on the board on a Michael Ryan field goal. The Langston Lions defense thwarted Northern Colorado early until Lobato engineered a 91-yard drive that ended with a touchdown pass to Will Jefferson Jr. to give the Bears at 10-3 lead at the half.
Lobato opened the second half with a 60-yard touchdown strike to Stimphil. He closed out the third with an 80-yard touchdown pass, giving the Bears a 24-3 lead. Stimphil was again on the receiving end. Darius Graham rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown for the Bears.
Langston’s Jac’Quon Miles threw for 190 yards. He was intercepted three times.
