2 State Troopers Hit While On The Job
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - For the second time in three days a Colorado state trooper has been hit on the job.
Both troopers are expected to recover. The most recent accident was Monday when a trooper had stopped a driver for speeding in Colorado Springs along Academy Boulevard. A Nissan slammed into the back of the cruiser parked on the shoulder.
The trooper and three people in the Nissan were taken to the hospital. Charges are pending.
That followed a crash on Highway 85 Saturday in which a trooper was injured and a tow truck driver killed. They were stopped along the highway when a pickup truck slammed into them.
The second accident prompted the State Patrol to tweet "slow down - we aren't crash test cars."
