Fallen Climber Identified As CSU Student

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (AP) - Rocky Mountain National Park officials say a climber who died after falling about 30 feet was a Colorado State University student from New Jersey.

The park identified him Friday as 22-year-old Corey Stewart, of Newton. A helicopter recovered his body Friday.

Park officials say a caller told rangers around 12:30 p.m. Thursday that a man had fallen 30 feet while climbing Batman Pinnacle on Lumpy Ridge. People on scene started CPR, but he died of his injuries. Details weren't available.

Colorado State University lists Stewart as a sophomore in the Warner College of Natural Resources.
