LYONS, Colo. (CBS4) – A Broomfield woman was hospitalized over the weekend after a rattlesnake bit her.
Mary Ellen Myers, 28, was riding her mountain bike with friends in Heil Valley Ranch south of Lyons.
The group got off their bikes to walk to an overlook. When they turned back a rattlesnake hidden under a rock bit Myers on the ankle.
She was taken to the hospital and her injuries were described as being non-life threatening.
