CSU Researchers Study Earthquakes With 'Shake House' In California
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - Researchers at Colorado State University are in California studying earthquakes by making a house shake.
The researchers shook the house hard enough to make it fall. They are simulating an earthquake to see how houses can withstand tremors.
The idea behind the "shake house" is to put construction into a simulated earthquake to learn how to build stronger, safer buildings.
