MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – There may be some flood relief on the way for people in Manitou Springs.

The Colorado Department of Transportation has approved construction of a concrete culvert to reduce flooding on Highway 24. The culvert will hold 10 times the capacity of the existing structure.

Earlier this month flash flooding from the Waldo Canyon burn area swept numerous cars off the road and killed one person.
