Health Officials Search For Person Who May Have Touched Rabid Bat
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Health officials from Jefferson County have issued a warning after a possible rabid bat was found in Harriman Park.
Officials know someone touched the dead bat because they say it was placed on a bench with a cigarette in its mouth. Now they're asking anyone who touched it to get tested for rabies.
County health officials have been releasing fliers about the incident.
The tests on the bat were inconclusive, but the Department of Health is assuming it was rabid.
