1 Killed In Crash On I-70 Near Airport Boulevard
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A man was killed Friday morning in a crash on Interstate 70 at Airport Boulevard.
Lt. Jeff Turner with Aurora police said two cars were traveling westbound on I-70.
"A Toyota slowed for traffic congestion and was almost stopped. The second car, a Hyundai, crashed into the rear of the Toyota," Turner said in a statement. "The adult male driver of the Toyota was wearing a seat belt and suffered only minor injuries. He was transported to a local hospital. The adult male driver of the Hyundai was not wearing his seat belt and suffered serious injuries."
The driver of the Hyundai was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The highway had to be closed for more than two hours.
The names of those involved haven't been released.
