More Human West Nile Cases Result In Mosquito Spraying

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- More human cases of the West Nile Virus mean there will be more spraying for mosquitoes in those areas.

Twenty-six confirmed human cases have been reported in Colorado. Four new cases were reported this week. One of those is in Boulder, two are in Larimer County including a 64-year-old male and 18-year-old female, and one in Delta County.

Workers in Larimer County are fighting the spread of the potentially deadly virus. The City of Fort Collins will spray for mosquitoes again on Wednesday night.

Crews in Larimer County will spray areas north of the city Wednesday night and again on Monday.

Areas south of Fort Collins will be sprayed Thursday and Tuesday.
