Heavy Rain Leads To Flooding On Some Colorado Roads

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) – Southern Colorado is getting some heavy rain, leading to detours for some drivers.

Northbound Interstate 25 at Pueblo was briefly closed Wednesday afternoon due to flooding. A stretch of U.S. 50 west of Rocky Ford also was closed due to heavy rain and flooding there Wednesday evening.

The National Weather Service says a trained spotter reported 1.7 inches of rain had fallen northeast of Pueblo Reservoir within about two hours Wednesday.
