Undercover Sting Nets Man Accused Of Internet Luring

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - Arapahoe County deputies have arrested a man accused of Internet luring of a child.

According to the sheriff's office, on June 29 a concerned parent contacted the deputies to report that an unknown person contacted her 13-year-old daughter over the Internet and attempted to establish a sexual relationship.

"Upon receiving the report, Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigators initiated a criminal investigation. Investigators, posing as the 13-year-old female, communicated with the unknown subject using the Internet and text messaging," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

According to the sheriff's office, Benjamin Clinton Stribling, 30, told the young girl he would pick her up at her Centennial home for sexual relations.

An undercover sting netted Stribling last Friday. He is a registered sex offender on parole and faces charges of internet luring of a child.
