Dalbey Institute Owner Ordered To Turn Over Assets

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - The man who sold a get-rich-quick scheme has been ordered to turn over all of his assets.

CBS4's Jodi Brooks first reported on Russ Dalbey 2 years ago and the sales pitch in his infomercials. Prosecutors say Dalbey and his wife convinced nearly a million people to join their "Winning In The Cash Flow Business" program.

Former employees of the Dalbey Institute in Westminster told CBS4 they would then call those consumers and get them to spend big money on seminars, coaching sessions and lists of potential leads.

In a settlement with the Colorado attorney general and the Federal Trade Commission the Dalbeys must turn over a list of their assets, including money that may be overseas. They are also banned from telemarketing and from producing infomercials.
