Black Hawk Man Sentenced For Setting Bed & Breakfast On Fire
BLACK HAWK, Colo. (CBS4) - A Black Hawk man who set the bed and breakfast he owned on fire will serve 2 years in a jail work release program and 5 years of probation.
Prosecutors said Terrence John Ballowe, 41, set the Creek Side Bed and Breakfast in Black Hawk on fire in 2009 in order to collect insurance money. He even called the morning of the fire to verify his insurance policy was good.
The building was severely damaged.
Ballowe was also ordered to complete 480 hours of community service.
