New Pedestrian Bridge Links Denver And Glendale

GLENDALE, Colo. (CBS4) - It's now a lot easier to get across Cherry Creek between Denver and Glendale.

A new pedestrian bridge is now open along Cherry Creek Drive South near Kentucky Avenue. The bridge crosses over to the Four Mile Historic Park. It will make it much more convenient to walk and bike around the area.

"Congratulations to everyone that put this beautiful bridge together. Remember these metaphors that are very, very meaningful -- when you walk across the bridge it takes you somewhere," Glendale Mayor Mike Dunafon said. "Our governments are working together and we should be very, very happy about it."

Several government agencies helped pay for the $800,000 project.
