Crested Butte Gets Ski Season Flights From O'Hare

CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. (AP) — The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport is getting a nonstop flight from Chicago O'Hare International Airport on Saturdays during ski season.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort and Gunnison Valley Rural Transportation Authority said Tuesday that SkyWest Airlines will operate the United Express service using 66-seat jets. Flights between the Crested Butte airport and O'Hare will be offered on Saturdays from Dec. 21-March 29.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort is offering a free half-day lift ticket to Chicago flight passengers on the day they arrive if they bring their ID and boarding pass stub to the resort.

United Airlines is also scheduled to fly nonstop from Denver and Houston to the Crested Butte airport during the winter.
