Aurora Schools Employee Arrested In Child Prostitution Sting

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - An Aurora Public Schools employee is among eight men arrested in a child prostitution sting.

Aurora police and FBI agents arrested Gary Campbell on Friday and said he responded to an ad for a child prostitute.

The investigators said no crime happened at the school where Campbell worked.

Officials with the school district called the allegations "shocking." They said in a statement that in no part of his job duties is he allowed to be alone with students.

"Due to privacy laws, we are unable to discuss these allegations further. When we receive allegations of this nature, we would immediately contact the police, begin our own investigation and possibly place the staff member on administrative leave during the investigation. We do not condone any inappropriate adult conduct, and we cooperate fully with the police."

No further details about the arrests were immediately available.
