Douglas County Sheriff Warns Women About Suspicious White Van
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A warning to women in Douglas County after a white van with a suspicious-acting driver has been approaching women in the past week.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is warning women to be aware of their surroundings and be on alert.
There have been two incidents in the past four days.
In the first incident, a young woman told deputies an Hispanic male approached her near her home around the Northridge Park area of the Northridge subdivision in Highlands Ranch on Tuesday. He approached the woman about 1:45 p.m. and asked her to go with him.
She refused and he got in the white van and quickly drove away.
In the second incident a woman said a dark-skinned man put his arm around her waist in a parking lot of the Taco Bell at Blakeland Drive at Highway 85 in Littleton on Friday afternoon. The woman pushed him away and he left in a white van.
Neither woman was able to get the license plate of the van.
Sheriff's deputies are asking the public to report any suspicious activity involving a white van and a dark-skinned male.
