DECATUR, Texas (CBS4) – No charges will be filed against the Texas deputies who shot and killed murder suspect Evan Ebel.

Ebel died after a shootout in Decatur, Texas back in March. He’s accused of shooting a deputy and leading police on a chase that ended in a crash. Deputies then opened fire and killed him.

A grand jury looked at the case and decided the deputies acted appropriately.

Ebel is accused of killing Colorado corrections chief Tom Clements and Denver father Nate Leon.
