More Mosquitoes With West Nile Found In Longmont

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4)- More mosquitoes infected with the West Nile virus are turning up in Longmont.

Insects from five traps collected over the weekend have tested positive for the potentially deadly virus.

This is the third week in a row that infected mosquitoes have been found.

Contractors hired by the city and Boulder County are spraying infected areas.

No human cases of West Nile have been reported in Boulder County this season but there is one confirmed human case in Delta County on the Western Slope.
