Fort Carson Soldier Accused Of Home Invasion, Sexual Assault

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A Fort Carson soldier has been arrested in connection with a home invasion and sexual assault.

Colorado Springs police say Felicion Alexander Charles, 22, faces charges including sexual assault and robbery.

According to police, Charles and another man broke into a woman's apartment last Monday in the southwestern area of the city. The victim told police one of the men burglarized her home while the other was sexually assaulting her at gunpoint.

"The victim was terrorized and believed she might not live through this violent ordeal," police spokesperson Barbara Miller said in a statement.

Police have yet to locate the other suspect and his name hasn't been released.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, Charles is a Specialist in the 497th Engineer Company, 52nd Engineer Battalion. He is being held on $1.5 million bond at the El Paso County Jail.
