Boulder County Jail Inmate Hangs Himself In Cell

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say a 40-year-old Boulder County Jail inmate facing several charges hanged himself in his cell.

Cmdr. Rick Brough with the county sheriff's office says deputies checked on the inmate about half an hour before they found him unresponsive and not breathing at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The inmate, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

He was arrested Wednesday on charges that included criminal impersonation, failure to pay and alcohol consumption in public.

The inmate was assigned to a cell by himself.
