Final Weekend To Throw Out Electronics Instead Of Recycling

DENVER (CBS4)– This weekend is the final weekend that trash services will collect unwanted electronics.

Starting July 1 a statewide electronic waste disposal ban kicks in.

That means it will be illegal starting Monday to dispose of electronic items in landfills.

Included in the ban are TVs, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, laptops, DVD players, VCRs, radios and several other items. Those items must be taken to a recycling center.

The Colorado Department of Health and Prevention has a list of recycling locations.
