Ex-Con Arrested In Boulder Scissor Attack
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — A man who served time for a fatal stabbing is suspected of trying to attack a man with scissors in Boulder.
Sixty-one-year-old Roy Gene Seagraves was arrested in Longmont Thursday, just over a week after police released a sketch of the suspect in the June 15 attack.
The 18-year-old victim said a man approached him and put scissors to his neck. The victim was able to pull the scissors away but suffered cuts and abrasions in the scuffle.
The Daily Camera reports Seagraves served half of a 12 year sentence after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in a 1982 slaying in 2001.
Seagraves was also arrested for allegedly stabbing someone in 2007 but ultimately pleaded guilty to a felony drug charge. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.
