Credit Card Thieves Targeted By Lakewood Police

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- A Lakewood couple are being sought by authorities after they were caught on security cameras shopping with stolen credit cards.

Police in Lakewood are asking for help identifying the man and woman pictured in the security camera images. They are believed to have used credit cards taken in an overnight burglary that occurred in western Lakewood.

About 10 p.m. on Saturday a couple in Lakewood arrived home and forgot to close the garage door. Early the next morning they were contacted by credit card company representatives who were suspicious of early morning transactions involving the couple's credit cards.

Shortly after 6 a.m. on Sunday credit cards belonging to the couple were used at King Soopers located near Sheridan Blvd. and Hampden Ave.

Images of the man and woman using the stolen credit cards were captured on security cameras at that grocery store.

Detectives are asking anyone who feels they can help identify the man and woman are asked to call Detective McGlynn at 303-987-7244.
