MillerCoors Has Found A Way To Become Landfill Free

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - There's been an environmental milestone in Golden where MillerCoors has found a way to reuse all their trash.

Over the past two years MillerCoors has been stepping up recycling efforts and is now proud to say they reuse and recycle 100 percent of their waste.

Employee Kelly Harris was a driving force behind the push to be landfill free.

"When I came out a year ago, what I realized is everybody at this brewery, at this complex, and in this organization wanted to achieve being landfill free," Harris said. "There was not one person that said, 'Hey, I don't think this can happen,' "

The company says by recycling and reusing they're keeping 135 tons of waste out of landfills every month.
