3 Injured In Shooting At Denver Apartment Complex

DENVER (CBS4) - One person is in critical condition after a shooting at an apartment complex near 12th and Albion Saturday night.

Police said a group was standing outside just before 10 p.m. when a confrontation started with a driver of a pickup. The driver fired shots, hitting two men and one woman.

Two of the victims suffered just minor injuries, but one man was critically injured. Their names haven't been released.

Police are looking for the driver of a gray or silver two-tone pickup.

Neighbors are now scared.

"We always have our windows open, it's annoying. What, we've got to keep our windows locked now because we're afraid?" neighbor Olivia Sanders said.

Sanders was babysitting her little brother when she heard something.

"It sounded like a really huge bang, and it happened four times in a row. And I'm like, 'Okay, that's definitely not fireworks. Fireworks don't do that,' " Sanders said.

"We didn't pay attention to the first three shots, but after it was a couple more, that's when we looked out and saw a whole bunch of people laid out on the floor," neighbor Jose Solis said. "People were screaming and running towards that."

Solis discovered the victims were his neighbor, his neighbor's girlfriend and another friend. He doesn't know how they knew the suspect.

"They're not very social. They keep all their stuff to themselves," Solis said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Denver police.
