Woman Sentenced For DUI On Way To AA Meeting
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - A woman in Boulder was driving drunk and crashed her car on the way to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting last October. Now, after causing some serious damage and injuries, she'll be spending some time behind bars.
Brenda Geers, 73, pleaded guilty to vehicular assault and DUI and was sentenced to 60 days in jail and five days probation.
Police say Geers was drunk when she clipped a food truck with her SUV, hit a University of Colorado student and crashed into a church .
The student was taken to the hospital with a punctured lung and broken ribs. Geers was not injured.
