WESTMINSTER, Colo. (AP/CBS4) — Westminster police say a man who was hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle home from work last weekend has died.

Police spokeswoman Cheri Spottke says 41-year-old David Hernandez was critically injured when he was struck the evening of June 8. He died of his injuries Saturday morning.

Police say the person driving the vehicle that hit Hernandez left the scene and did not notify police. The vehicle involved could have damage to the hood or to the passenger side headlight and windshield wipers.

"We've been able to narrow some of the parts down and others we haven't," Cheri Spottke with Westminster police said. "Those parts are now conflicting, so that's what we're trying to figure out."

Anyone with information is asked to call Westminster police..
