Keep Entertained Indoors, Escape Smoke From Fires, Heat

DENVER (CBS4)- Smoke from the Black Forest Fire and the summer heat are making it difficult to breathe while outdoors, sending many inside for entertainment.

The good news, there are a lot of exciting things to do inside this summer.

Although there are no new exhibits at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science this weekend, the permanent collection is always fun. While there tour Prehistoric Journey, the Planetarium and Imax theater. It's a great way to spend a day indoors in air conditioned comfort.

The Denver Art Museum also has a number of options like Spun: Adventures in Textiles. There are also many regular exhibits and plenty of interactive options for kids.

At the movies there are several new releases including "Man of Steel" the latest attempt to reboot the Superman franchise.

The other new release getting a lot of buzz is "This is the End" which features some of Hollywood's top young comic actors that are facing Armageddon.
