1 Dead After Shooting Involving Larimer County Sheriff's Deputies

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS/AP) — Larimer County sheriff's officials say a man is dead after a shooting involving at least two sheriff's deputies, who weren't injured.

Just before 6 p.m. Monday deputies were called to a remote home near Livermore. According to sheriff's deputies, the call came in as a neighbor disturbance. The man who lives at the location was shot and reported dead at the scene by investigators.

It's still not clear who pulled the trigger. The department will not release any further information during their internal investigation.

Neighbors who did not want to appear on camera told CBS4 they heard multiple gunshots coming from the man's home. They said the man who was killed was armed and confrontational with authorities.

Sheriff's deputies wiill not release the man's name until family can be notified.
