Top Gun Motor Officers Competition Held At Jeffco Stadium
DENVER (CBS4) - Motorcycle police officers showed off their skills at the Jeffco Stadium on Sunday. It was part of the annual Top Gun Motor Officers Competition.
The event was part exhibition, part skills competition and part training for motorcycle officers.
The event draws officers from all over North America.
"Demonstrate the skills of these motor officers. These guys go through an awful lot of training and spend a lot of time out here risking their necks on these bikes," said Dick Lewis, co-founder of the Colorado Chapter Blue Knights. "It's a way for them to compete … but more to demonstrate their skills to the general public."
The competition also benefits the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics and the Colorado State Patrol Youth Academy.
It was the event's 24th anniversary.
