Weekend Picks Include Comic Con, Chalk Art Festival, New Movies

DENVER (CBS4)- This weekend there is a lot to do in the Denver metro area including Denver Comic Con, a chalk art festival and new movies at theaters.

Critic at Large Greg Moody has all the details to keep your weekend filled with a wide range of activities.

Fans began gathering Friday outside the Colorado Convention Center in costume to see and chat with their favorite artists, actors and publishers from the world of sci fi and fantasy.

Among those attending are William Shatner and George Takei both of Star Trek fame. Comic Con continues through Sunday.

The Capitol Hill People's Fair has its annual celebration in Civic Center Park Saturday and Sunday. There will be food, music, arts and crafts. It's free to attend.

There's also the annual Chalk Art Festival in Larimer Square with artists creating amazing work on the pavement. The festival is free to attend.
