Water World, Elitch Gardens Water Park Officially Open For The Summer

FEDERAL HEIGHTS, Colo. (CBS4) - Memorial Day weekend is a sign summer is almost here and lots of activities are getting under way for the season.

Water World made a big splash and opened up for the summer and Saturday. The water park in Federal Heights has two new attractions this year -- the Double Dare and the Mile High Flyer.

The water park at Elitch Gardens also opened Saturday for the season.

Some people say water parks are the best way to stay cool during the hot months.
